Game 2 Less Drama?
The game was supposed to be intense and dramatic, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Billy play as well as expected, and Tommy was unable to control the game. Miss's shots, whether long or short, were not successful in making any open 20s. Tommy had a poor performance and appeared incompetent. There was no excitement or drama because it was clear from the beginning that Tommy wouldn't be able to compete in this game. I don't think we'll see these two players compete against each other again, unless they meet in the championship, which seems unlikely for Tommy after this game.

Game 2 Hard Feelings
Game 2 of season 2 is going to be different. Billy and Tommy have only met once on the Crokinole board. Tommy won that game 5-3, with a wild set 3 tie.
Tommy said he wanted to punch Billy's silly face whenever he saw it. It is a great way to build friendships. Tommy has spent most of his offseason in anger management classes. Billy has spent this off-season with what he calls his new coach, Rufus, and they have spent most of that time trying to be one with the corkinole board.
Who will win this week? Therapy or meditation?

Season 2 Crokinole Kickoff!
In game 1 of the 2024 season, we started with a bang! We could go three sets the first time, but we fought in a fourth set. Both Maddox and Cyrus seemed to have a slow start to the day. Maddox ended Set 1 with a double take-out and a peel sealed Set 1 for him. Cyrus took over from there, getting the job done, nothing pretty but doing just enough to pull wins each of the following three sets, making the final 6-2.
The day's highlight was Cyrus's record-breaking performance, ending with an astounding 18 take-outs! Six of these came from set 4 alone. Cyrus surpassed Dustin's previous record 16, firmly establishing himself as the take-out king! Last season, Cyrus finished 4th in the number of take-outs, but this season, he's off to a promising start, already leading after game 1.
Both Maddox and Cyrus showed significant improvement in their open 20 percentages compared to last season. Maddox, who ended last season with an open 20 percentage of .552, finished game 1 with an impressive .600. Cyrus, on the other hand, improved from .434 last season to .571 in game 1. It's exciting to see if both players can maintain this upward trend throughout the year, regardless of the new board's impact.
